Fibre Optical Installation Services

Workspace Technology provides a comprehensive fibre optic installation service as part of our Building Systems division. including design, installation, testing and certification, and fibre test and repair services.

Fibre Termination & Testing Services

Workspace Technology’s in house trained and experienced fibre optical engineers offer termination and fibre splice services including – ‘hot-melt’ and ‘pig-tail’ fusion splicing of multimode and single mode cables. Workspace Technology use industry leading Fujikura fusion splice technology.

Testing of any fibre installation is one of the most important steps in ensuring your installation is working to its full capability.

Workspace Technology provides Fluke and OTDR testing for all installations to assure installation compliance and correct operation.

Fibre to the Desktop (FTTD)

With the ever increasing need for speed and security, FTTD is fast becoming common in the modern work place. Each desktop is supplied with a small fibre cable from the patch panel and terminated into a wall, floor, or distribution outlet. Advantages of FTTD include high bandwidth capability for voice, data, video and network security.

Pre-terminated Solutions

Pre-terminated solutions offer an innovative “plug-and-go” system for those desiring the ultimate in fast, easy and reliable optical fibre networking. Based on the concept of building blocks, our complete range of pre-terminated components bring total flexibility to the design phase.

No specialized tools are required for installation and the systems can be easily disassembled and redeployed as needed, while ensuring highly reliable results. Pre-terminated Systems can be an ideal choice for traditional LANs, as well as Data Centres, and Storage Area Networks, and for temporary installations such as disaster recovery sites and convention centre services.
